What type of opening?
Applies to all openings in this order. If you have mixed types, note differences in Step 14.

Mount & frame situation
Inside mount sits within the window opening. Outside mount covers the full opening or wall area. Direct mount hinges directly to the window frame — not for drywall.
Inside mount minimum depth
Measure the depth of your window opening. 1⅞″ louvers need ~¾″ clearance; 4½″ louvers need ~1¾″. We'll confirm during measurement.

Dimensions
Enter width × height for each opening in inches (e.g., 36⅛). Measure to 1/8″ precision. We take 3W × 3H — the installer records final measurements at the home visit.
Not sure of exact measurements? Provide your best estimate — a measuring visit is included before ordering. Include fractions (e.g., 24¼, 36⅝).

Panel layout / orientation
L = hinges on left, opens right. R = hinges on right, opens left. T = T-post (stationary center divider). Select the layout for your openings.

T-Posts
T-posts are stationary center dividers. Vertical T-posts split the shutter width. Horizontal T-posts split double-hung panels. Required when your layout includes "T".
Horizontal T-post default type: Chamfer T-post unless otherwise specified. Custom T-post width up to 7½″ available (surcharge applies). Section length per T-post ≤48″.

Louver size
Larger louvers mean a clearer view when open and a bolder look. Smaller louvers offer a traditional style.

Tilt rod / louver control
⚠ InvisibleTilt™ is not available with 1⅞″ louvers. Please select a larger louver size or choose a different tilt type.
InvisibleTilt™ embeds the tilt mechanism inside the stile — no visible rod. Surcharge applies. Not available for 1⅞″ louvers.

Frame style
The frame surrounds the shutter panel. Most inside-mount orders use an L Frame. Z frames work for window casings with specific depth. Hang strips are low-profile.

Divider rails
A divider rail adds a horizontal mid-panel rail so louvers can be controlled independently above and below. Required on tall panels.
